April showers bring May flowers

"April showers bring May flowers"... Most of us are familiar with that long-uttered phrase. Many of us take comfort in those words.

We trade gloomy skies (mostly) for sunshine and the brighter hues of new flora and greenery. It is a time of new growth, rebirth, and fresh starts. And nothing says "fresh starts" like brand new life. Like babies! The Bethany House Program welcomes two new little ones into our extended family fold. For these growing families, the future looks bright…as it should. Yet, for the women that contact us daily, their futures remain uncertain and unstable.

Since the COVID crisis began in 2020, the Bethany House Program has experienced a major influx of calls from homeless moms and homeless pregnant women. We do everything we can to help them find sponsor families or connect with other resources in our community. But as we’ve mentioned over the course of the past several years, even with your generous giving, and our years of serving this particular population of young ladies, the need continues to increase at an alarming pace.

Just look at those two pictured babies! Because of your generous support, we are able to help women overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles to find healing, hope, and ultimately homes and the fresh starts spring reminds us of.

Unfortunately, even our combined efforts just aren’t enough. But our program has an exciting plan to help increase the level of services we provide. The time is now to take action. The time is now to extend our hands to women and children hungry for their very own new beginning.
